Loosely based on the life and music of Frédéric Chopin, Nocturnes is an exploration of psychosomatic insomnia, i.e., the voice that comes to life in the dark of the night. Within these nine tracks of varying genres there exists a confrontation between the individual and the ego in the quest for something resembling permanence. Herein dizzying voices of placation and contradiction try to exhort reason to an age-old debate: formidable mortality stemming from subconscious desires to live beyond death in a world where everything will eventually be forgotten.
